Each kit contains 20 disposable carbon panels to fit inside the modules for a total of 22 pounds. Activated carbon is the best media for the removal of high concentrations of tobacco smoke, odors, and vapor contaminants.

Will this 22-lb carbon kit fit the CM-12 Standard (CM-12-S)?
No. The Standard CM-12 uses the 5‑lb carbon kit 41196 (set of 2) when replacing filters. The 22-lb kit is not a direct replacement for the Standard model.
Can I convert a Standard CM-12 to a Deluxe?
Yes. To upgrade a Standard CM-12 to a Deluxe, you must add (2) VOC Carbon Modules, AQE part #41193. Once upgraded, the unit then uses the 22-lb Deluxe carbon kit for future replacements.
How many panels come in the kit?
20 panels—10 per module, 2 modules total inside the CM‑12‑D.
How often should I replace them?
Plan every 18–36 months; heavy smoke may shorten the interval.
