Changing the filters in your FM-22 Solid Ceiling Commercial Flush Mount Smoke Eater on a regular basis is required to maintain the health of the system
Each Filter Kit Includes;
- (12) 1/2-inch Pre-Filters – Change Monthly
- (6) 1/2-inch Carbon Filter Pads – Change Every 2 Months
- (1) 12-inch High Efficiency Filter – Change Annually
Pre-Filters - 12 Polyester pre filters are provided in each filter kit. The pre-filter removes larger particles such as lint, hair, dust, and pollen. The pre-filter is important because it helps to prolong the life of the High Efficiency filter in the system. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your smoke eater system. Easy-t0-change pre-filters are the first of 3 filter stages in your smoke eater because they protect the subsequent filters.
Pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed at least once per month.
Activated Carbon Pads - 6 carbon pads are included with each kit. The activated carbon filter removes odors by absorbing the odor molecules into the filter. Since the activated carbon can only absorb a certain amount of molecules, it will no longer function properly once it is full. It is recommended that the carbon filters should be replaced at regular intervals.
The Carbon Filters cannot be washed and should be changed at least every 2 months.
High Efficiency Filter - 1 – 12-inch High Efficiency Filter is supplied with each FM-22 Solid Ceiling Commercial Flush Mount Smoke Eater filter kit. The High Efficiency filter removes very small particles, such as smoke (from tobacco, burning wood, oil, rosin), dust mites, spores, mold spores, pollen, spray paint, spray paint dust, ashes, cement dust, auto emissions, textile fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, insecticide dust, copier toner, and most viruses just to name a few. The High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly, it will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We cannot stress enough the importance of the High Efficiency filter to our system and the fact the High Efficiency filter must be maintained in order to achieve the maximum results.
The High Efficiency filter cannot be washed and should be changed on average once per year.
