Pre-Filters - 12 - Polyester pre-filters are included in each annual filter kit. The pre-filter removes larger particles including lint, hair, pollen & dust. The pre-filter is important because it helps prolong the life of the High Efficiency filter. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your system to promote better indoor air quality.
Pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed monthly.

18 Pound Carbon V-Bank Filter - One 18 pound carbon V-Bank filter is included with each filter kit. The 18 pound Carbon V-Bank Filter in the SED-2000V removes offensive smells and gases, chemicals, cigar, and cigarette odors. It's also ideal for use in the removal of molecular contaminants. Airports, hospitals, VFW and bingo halls, and many other commercial and light industrial applications find this type of filtration beneficial. With its unique construction, the carbon V-Bank will hold up in areas with higher humidity & temperatures, and in corrosive atmospheres.
The Carbon V-Bank Filter cannot be washed and must be changed annually.

High Efficiency Filter - One 6-inch High Efficiency Filter is included in each SED-2000V filter kit. The High Efficiency filter should be replaced every year and removes very small particles including smoke (from tobacco, burning wood, oil & rosin), dust mites, and mold spores. It also removes additional particles including pollen, spray paint, ashes, cement dust, auto emissions, textile fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, copier toner, and most viruses. As you can see, the High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter. Most of all, when used and maintained properly, the High Efficiency filter dramatically improves indoor air quality.
The High Efficiency filter cannot be washed and should be changed annually.

Remove the used pre-filter, HE filter, and carbon V-Bank filter from their existing frames.
Insert the new filters in the same orientation; ensure each one seats fully and evenly.
Install pre-filters last if multiple filters load from the same access point.
Check for any obstructions or debris inside the cabinet before closing the panel.
After closing, run the unit briefly to confirm airflow is strong and there are no vibrations.
Dispose of used filters according to local guidelines - carbon and HE filters should not be washed or reused.
