If your water contains a high amount of sediment, it is recommended to use the 50-Micron Carbon Block Filter. A 50-micron carbon block filter is used when there's a lot of sand, silt, and sediment in the water, which can easily clog up a smaller micron filter. Carbon also reduces elements that cause water to taste and smell unpleasant, including chlorine taste & odor.
