The MARK-20 High Efficiency filter removes the very small particles, such as smoke (tobacco, burning wood, oil, rosin), dust mites, spores, mold spores, pollen, spray paint, ashes, cement dust, auto emissions, textile fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, insecticide dust, copier toner, and most viruses, just to name a few. The High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter because it captures a majority of the airborne particulate. When used and maintained properly, it will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. The high-efficiency filter should be replaced every year.

The High Efficiency filter CANNOT be washed.

Installation tips

Turn off power to the MARK-20 unit and unplug/hard-disconnect as required. Refer to unit manual for safety.
Remove the access door or grill of the air cleaner to access the filter chamber.
Remove the old high-efficiency filter. Do not wash the filter or attempt to reuse it — the manufacturer states it cannot be washed.
Insert the new replacement filter in the correct orientation (pleated media facing airflow direction as per unit label).
Close the access door/grill securely. Restore power and reset any filter-service indicator if applicable.
Schedule the next replacement in approximately 12 months (or sooner in heavy-smoke/dust environments).
Good practice: also inspect and replace pre-filters every 3-4 weeks and the carbon V-bank filter every 8-12 months for optimal performance.

Can I wash or clean this filter and reuse it?
No. The high-efficiency filter is not washable and must be replaced. Attempting to wash it will damage the media and void performance.
