Changing the filters in your PR10.0-V Heavy Duty Flush Mount High Efficiency & Carbon Smoke Eater on a regular basis is required to maintain the health of the unit.
Each FK-PR10.0-V Filter Kit Includes;
- (12) 1/2-inch Pre-Filters - Change Monthly
- (1) 18 Pound 6-inch Carbon V-Bank Filter - Change Annually
- (1) 6-inch High Efficiency Filter - Change Annually
Pre-Filters - 12 Polyester pre-filters are included with each annual filter kit. The pre-filter is changed monthly and removes larger particles such as lint, hair, dust, and pollen. The pre-filter is important because not only does it remove the larger particles, it also helps prolong the life of the High Efficiency filter in the system. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your system; therefore promoting better indoor air quality.
For best results, pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed monthly.
18 Pound Carbon V-Bank Filter - The 18 pound Carbon V-Bank Filter in the PR10.0-V is superior at removing offensive smells and gases, chemicals, cigar, and cigarette odors. It's ideal for use in the removal of molecular contaminants in smoking areas, evidence rooms, marijuana growing facilities, high VOC areas, trash & garbage areas, etc. With 18 pounds of activated carbon and its unique construction, the V-Bank filter will hold up in areas with higher humidity, higher temperatures and in corrosive atmospheres.
For best results, the Carbon V-Bank Filter cannot be washed and should be changed annually.
High Efficiency Filter - 1 - 6-inch High Efficiency Filter is supplied with each PR10.0-V Heavy Duty Flush Mount High Efficiency & Carbon Smoke Eater and should be changed once per year. The High Efficiency filter removes the very small particles, such as smoke (tobacco, burning wood, oil, rosin), dust mites, spores, mold spores, pollen, spray paint, spray paint dust, ashes, cement dust, auto emissions, textile fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, insecticide dust, copier toner, and most viruses, just to name a few. As you can see, the High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We cannot stress enough the importance of the High Efficiency filter to our system and the fact the High Efficiency filter must be maintained in order to achieve the maximum results.
