Changing the filters in your PAC-22 Office or Small Space Flush Mount Air Cleaner on a regular basis is required to maintain the health of the unit
Each filter kit includes enough filters for 1 year;
- 12 – 1/2-inch Pre-Filters – Change Monthly
- 6 – 1/2-inch Carbon Filter Pads – Change Every 2 Months
- 1 – 3-inch High Efficiency Filter – Change Annually
Pre-Filters - 12 Polyester pre filters are supplied with each filter kit. The pre-filter is changed monthly and removes larger particles such as lint, hair, dust, and pollen. The pre-filter is important because not only does it remove the larger particles, it also helps prolong the life of the High Efficiency filter in the system. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your system, therefore, promoting better indoor air quality.
Pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed on average, every month.
Activated Carbon Filter Pads - 6 Activated Carbon Filters pads are supplied with each filter kit. Replace the activated carbon filter every two months. The carbon filter adsorbs odor & gas molecules. Because it can only adsorb a certain amount of odor & gas molecules, it's very important to maintain the charcoal filter. Basically, the carbon filter stops working once it's full of odor molecules.
The Carbon Filters cannot be washed and should be changed on average, every 2 months.
High Efficiency Filter - 1 – 3-inch High Efficiency Filter is supplied with each PAC22 Air Cleaner filter kit and should be changed once per year. The High Efficiency filter removes the very small particles. As you can see, the High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We cannot stress enough the importance of the High Efficiency filter to our system and the fact the High Efficiency filter must be maintained in order to achieve the maximum results.
The High Efficiency filter cannot be washed and should be changed on average, once per year.
