The High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter because it captures a majority of the airborne particulate. When used and maintained properly, it will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. The High Efficiency filter should be replaced *every year. The High Efficiency filter CANNOT be washed.

Slide out the used HEPA filter and discard it—do not wash HEPA filters.
Insert the new HEPA filter fully into the housing, ensuring a snug, even fit.
Reinstall the carbon filter and pre-filter in the correct order.
Close the grille, restore power, and check for normal airflow.
Replace on schedule to maintain high-efficiency particle and smoke capture.
