Change the filters in your PR8.0 Commercial Air Cleaner & Cigarette Smoke Eliminator on a regular basis to maintain the health of the unit
Pre-Filters - 12 Polyester pre filters are supplied with each system. The pre-filter is changed monthly and removes larger particles such as lint, hair, dust, and pollen. The pre-filter is important because not only does it remove the larger particles, it also helps prolong the life of the High Efficiency filter in the system. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your system; therefore promoting better indoor air quality.
Pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed monthly.
Activated Carbon Filter Pads - The PR8.0 filter kit includes 6 Activated Carbon Filter pads. The carbon filter should be changed every two months and removes odors by adsorption. The carbon filter will no longer work once it's full. Therefore, it must be changed every 2 months.
The Carbon Filters cannot be washed and should be changed every 2 months.
High Efficiency Filter - The PR8.0 filter kit includes one 6-inch High Efficiency filter which should be changed every year. The High Efficiency filter removes the very small particles, such as smoke (tobacco, burning wood, oil, rosin), dust mites, mold spores, pollen, spray paint, dust, auto emissions, textile fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, copier toner, and most viruses just to name a few. As you can see, the High Efficiency filter is an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We cannot stress enough the importance of the High Efficiency filter to our system and the fact the High Efficiency filter must be maintained in order to achieve the maximum results.
The High Efficiency filter cannot be washed and should be changed annually.
This filter kit is for the PR8.0 Commercial Air Cleaner & Cigarette Smoke Eliminator. It's also used for the 8.6 flush mount air cleaner.
