The PR5.0 ceiling flush mount air cleaner dust collector is an extremely attractive, self-contained dust collection system that is light-weight, easy to install and very affordable.
200 CFM - 1 unit covers approximately 1,600 cubic feet.
Includes installation hardware and all filters required for the first year!
The PR5.0 is especially well-suited for small areas including offices, homes, attics, man caves, garages, etc. It replaces either 1 - 2' x 4' tile or 2 - 2' x 2' tiles from the suspended ceiling. In order to install the PR5.0 flush mount air cleaner easily the clearance above the suspended ceiling needs to be at least 8" and is recommended that the air cleaner is installed in areas that do not exceed an 8-foot ceiling height. The weight of the system does not rest on the ceiling grids but is secured above the suspended ceiling to a permanent structure such as a joist or beam. All filters on the 5.0FM Flushmount are accessible from the intake grill on the face of the system. 1 unit recommended for every 200 square feet.
How Does the PR5.0 Small Area Air Filter Work?...
The PR5.0 Flush mount HEPA Filter System uses a 200 CFM blower to draw the air from polluted areas. As the air is drawn through the high-efficiency filter media, 95% of the tobacco smoke and particles are removed on each pass. The clean air that is constantly discharged into the area is refreshing and remarkably free of tobacco smoke and other contaminants.
3 Filter System for Excellent Clean Air Results
Stage 1 - Pre-Filter
The pre-filter removes larger particles such as lint, hair, dust, and pollen. The pre-filter is important because it removes the larger particles and it also helps prolong the life of the HEPA filter. Essentially, the pre-filter is the first line of defense in maintaining your system; therefore promoting better indoor air quality. Pre-filters cannot be washed and must be changed monthly.
Stage 2 - Carbon Filter
The activated carbon filter removes odors by absorbing the odor molecules into the filter. Since the activated carbon can only absorb a certain amount of molecules, it will stop working once it is full. Therefore, carbon filters must be properly maintained. The Carbon Filters cannot be washed and should be changed every 2 months.
Stage 3 - HEPA Filter
The HEPA filter removes the very small particles, such as smoke, dust mites, spores, mold spores, pollen, etc. The HEPA filter is an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. The HEPA filter cannot be washed and should be changed annually.
OPTIONAL - Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamps
Why Optional Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamps in Commercial Air Cleaners?
It's well known that ultraviolet germicidal lamps can destroy any microorganism because of its powerful UV-C rays. As a microbe passes through UV-C, the light penetrates directly into the organism's nucleus which disrupts the molecular bonds of it's "DNA". This breakage renders the microbe unable to reproduce and shortly thereafter the organism dies. This method is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for its germicidal effects. The use of UV-C along with a highly efficient filter media provides a truly clean, virus & bacteria free environment.
